CITY OF TIFFIN
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL
March 31, 2022
• We had a progress meeting for the Original Town Phase 2 project on Tuesday.
Although Rathje did start working a little bit this week, a full-scale resumption of
work will start on Monday.
• Item K-2 – Change Order #9, is a ‘balancing’ change order that is very common for
DOT projects. As you can see, the change order documents and describes all of the
additions, deletions and corrections of the project. This change order does not change
the total amount of work that has been performed. This is simply part of the closeout
process of the project. Final payment and release of retainage is still yet to take place.
• Item I-2 – Resolution resetting the public hearing for Ordinance No. 2022-493 –
Weeds and Noxious Growths. We continue to work on the specific language of this
ordinance change. I hope to have more information on this for Tuesday night.
• Attached is a Finance Plan from Northland Securities that summaries the $2,755,000
General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds. Please review the document along
with the Preliminary Official Statement for the public hearing and approval of
Resolution 2022-029.
• A progress meeting for the 80/380 Interchange project was held on Wednesday.
Anticipated paving of North Park Road by the DOT will be the week of April 11th.
They are now also anticipating doing this as nighttime work.
• Progress continues on the Public Works Building. Three of the four footing walls
have been poured so far.
