______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS September 2, 2022 • Attached is a revised job description for the new position to be split between the Fire and Building Departments. Brad Hill, Brian Shay and I have tried to combine the two job descriptions that were discussed and reviewed at the last work session the best we can. We think we have created a job description that is both general and specific enough to be able to get a good applicant pool. One of the issues that is still undetermined is the title of this position. I have left the title section of the description blank but titles to consider are listed below: o Fire Marshal/Code Enforcement Inspector o Fire Prevention Officer/Code Enforcement Inspector The goal Tuesday night would be to finalize the description and proceed with advertising for the position. If there are any questions in reference to the job description, such as a clarification or better definition of a task, skill or qualification, please call me over the weekend or on Tuesday prior to the meeting.
