G-1, I-1 - Resolution 2023-014 - Public Hearing for Maximum Property Tax Dollars - FY 23-24

RESOLUTION NO. 2023-014 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FY 2023-2024 PROPOSED MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS Whereas, Per Iowa Code Section 384.15A, the City Council of the City of Tiffin has considered the attached FY 2023-2024 proposed maximum property tax dollars for the affected levy total, and; Whereas, A notice concerning the proposed maximum property tax dollars was published as required and posted on the City’s website and/or social media accounts as applicable, and; Whereas, A public hearing concerning the proposed maximum property tax dollars for affected levy total was held during the Regular City Council Meeting on February 21, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa that the maximum property tax dollars for the affected tax levies for FY 2023-2024 shall not exceed $2,583,605. On the 21st day of February, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson ______ introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-014, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FY 2023-2024 PROPOSED MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson ______. Ayes: Nays: Absent: Whereupon ______ Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023-014, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FY 2022-2023 PROPOSED MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
