This would be a brand new event for us so still working on all the details. Just a little about our foundation: My son Lane was born October 18th, 2018. He was the most precious little baby boy. Always full of smiles and such a cute personality. In Feb of 2019 we received the worst call of our life. Lane was found unresponsive at daycare. They did CPR for 90 minutes but it was just too late. We later found out that he passed away due to unsafe sleep. We became a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation (Lane Michael Birch Foundation) in December of 2019. Since then, we have promoted safe sleep but our biggest mission is providing grief support to families who also lose a child. We provide "Love from Lane" grief packages that include gift cards, a check for financial expenses, and child loss items. We are a small foundation but mighty. We have given out 36 grief baskets and 71 safe sleep totes that include and owlet monitor. That's a total of 35,000 dollars. We are able to do this with having the support from our community. We have an annual motorcycle ride and we have had a safe sleep event and well as a few other events. We have discussed as a board some new events and the Carnival LANE fun Fair we thought would be a great family fun event. We are thinking bouncy houses, different games to win prizes, food trucks, etc.. (Included in the outline) We are willing to get any insurance and permits that we will need. Just need some guidance since this is a new event for us. If it goes well, we would like to make this an annual event as well.
