______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS March 3, 2023 • After discussing a potential upgrade to the City’s Capital Improvements Plan at the first meeting in February, I would like to suggest the following change to the CIP. Instead of simply listing the projects and their costs, I would like to make the CIP more of a narrative. As was discussed, most of the projects on previous CIP’s are listed and/or viewed as ‘placeholders’. My suggestion would be to limit the number of projects or only go out as far as 3-5 years and do a summary of the project. I think this might tie into our goal setting session(s) better and create and better understanding of the project for the public. I think we can work out the details on how to determine the projects that will make the timeline of the CIP. Attached is a very rough draft and example of what I am suggesting moving forward.
