__________________________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS March 17, 2023 • Below are all the projects listed on the draft of the CIP minus the current or on-going projects. Based on the discussion at the last meeting, the objective is to create a CIP that includes the current projects (those that are in some form of a planning stage or have already been approved within FY 2023-2024) plus the projects the City can accomplish within the next five years. The remaining projects will be put into or listed as an ‘appendix’ to the document. Please come to the work session on Tuesday night with your top five projects listed or ranked in order from #1 to #5. ➢ Current and on-going Projects o Original Town Urbanization – Phase 3 o North Park Road Improvements – Four-lane Road from the Roundabout on Highway 6 to just south of Oakdale Boulevard o Potter Creek Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Project o Water Treatment Plant Upgrade - o Construction of Three new Shelters in the City Park o Construction of a Sidewalk from Soccer Field parking lot and connecting to the Roundabout o Improvements of ADA Sidewalks at various Intersections o Minor Sanitary Sewer Upgrades based off of Capacity Study performed in 2019 o Improvements to Storm Sewer System – Repair or Replace intakes and/or general improvements to City’s Detention/Retention Facilities ➢ Remaining Projects to be Ranked - #1 - #5 o Kimberlite Extension – Traffic Signal and Turn Lanes o Roberts Ferry Road Urbanization (south) – Reconstruction of Road from Railroad to I-80, including Bridge Replacement o Deerview and Highway 6 Intersection Improvements – Project will be coordinated with the DOT. o Highway 6 Improvements – Widening of Road from Roundabout to Main Street. Project will also be coordinated with the DOT o Kansas Avenue Surfacing o Completion of Forevergreen Road o Roberts Ferry Road Urbanization (north) – Reconstruction of Road from Ridgeway Drive to City Limits o South Park Road Urbanization – Reconstruction of Road from the Roundabout to Kansas Avenue o WWTP Upgrade – Plant Expansion o New Water Tower o Sidewalk on south side of Highway 6 – potential shared project with CCA o Phases 2 and 3 of Comprehensive Park Plan including a second Dog Park on the north side of town o Potterfield Park Development and Ridgeway Heights green/open space expansion to Woodfield Park o Opening of Highway 6 Tunnel to include Sidewalks o Recreation/Community Center o Hawk Beacon Signal at Roundabout o Construction of an Ambulance Building with expansion potential o New Public Safety Building (Fire Station) – to be built as the expansion to the Ambulance Building o Lights at Parking Lot on Railroad Street o Lights at Dog Park o New City Hall Building
