Office: 319.364.4773 Cell(s): 319.855.8392/ 563.542.6571 [email protected] / [email protected] DATE: June 30, 2023 ON-GOING PROJECTS North Park Road Improvements The Concept Statement was submitted to the IowaDOT on 3/21/2023. The Phase I Archaeological survey was completed and submitted to MSA on 5/2/2023. Wetland delineation has been completed. MSA attended a joint meeting with the City council and school board to discuss the proposed roundabout and conceptual site improvements on the school property. In general, the school board is in support of the roundabout. MSA is completing cost estimates for the “frontage road” on the school property. Highway 6 Concept and Cost Estimate The Professional Services Agreement for this work was approved at the last council meeting and executed on June 21, 2023. Under this contract, MSA will provide preliminary three-dimensional design for roadway and storm drainage systems to develop a more accurate cost estimate. This cost estimate will be provided to the IowaDOT in order to program the project as a reconstruction project. Comprehensive Water System Evaluation An in-person project update was presented to council at the meeting on 6/6/2023. The 90-day pilot study began the same day. Anticipated completion of this study and the Preliminary Engineering Report and IDNR approval by the end of the calendar year. Trail Connection between Roundabout and Parking Lot Storm water calculations have been completed for this project in conjunction with the North Park Road storm water calculations since the trail project lies within the same floodplain as the southern portion of North Park Road.
