PROJECT UPDATE  A Review of MSA Projects in Your Community City of Tiffin, IA CLIENT LIAISONS: Andrew Inhelder, PE Office: 319.364.4773 Cell(s): 515.802.0906 [email protected] DATE: November 2, 2023 ON-GOING PROJECTS North Park Road Improvements – James Watters MSA submitted an application to the Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program (ICAAP) on September 30, 2023. Time period for IaDOT to notify City of funding (if selected) is January – March 2024. MSA is in the process of completing an application for funding through the Iowa Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program (TA Set-aside or TAP). Funding application would be for the funding of the pedestrian accommodation (multi-use trail, pedestrian underpass, etc) aspects of the project through the Safe Routes to School Program. Application due date is November 27, 2023. MSA is coordinating project plans and exhibits with the Army Corp of Engineer’s for wetland and stream impacts for the project. Highway 6 Concept and Cost Estimate – Ben Wilkinson MSA has completed our conceptual design of the project and finalized the draft cost estimate and cost sharing estimate. After City review, MSA forwarded the cost estimate and concept plans to the DOT for review. Jesse Tibodeau (Iowa DOT) responded on October 19 and indicated that they were still reviewing but would be in touch soon to further coordinate the project. Comprehensive Water System Evaluation – Clint Wienen MSA will present cost estimates for building type options at the Council Meeting on November 21st. Harn has received the autopsy result for the pilot test. They will be starting on the pilot report but have not provided a definitive date on when they will be completed with their report. Trail Connection between Roundabout and Parking Lot – Andrew Inhelder Project is ready for bidding. Once council approves and sets dates, project will be bid for construction in Spring of 2024.
