______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL May 3, 2024 • Both the Kimberlite South and Roundabout Center Island Projects have started and are going really well. The Kimberlite South Project is ahead of schedule. The developer on the north side of Highway 6 is working on his portion of that connection and we continue to work with the DOT on the logistics of the traffic signal installation. Signage has been very effective on the project and the baseball/softball coaches have done a really good job of helping the City get the word out about the project which has resulted in minimal disruption. • Attached is a memo from Bill Erb that explains the great results of the City’s ISO analysis audit. Included in the packet is the Public Protection Classification Summary Report. As stated in Bill’s report, this new, lower ISO rating will save property tax payers on their insurance premiums. • Also included in the packet is the Ratings Summary Report for the City’s recent A+ rating. This is also great news for the City and it’s long-term barrowing capabilities. It is anticipated this rating will save the City at least one percentage point in the upcoming General Obligation Bond sale. • I want to briefly talk about the options for the next council meeting as three of us will be at the ICSC conference. • Just a friendly reminder the City-Wide Garage Sales are scheduled for this weekend, May 3rd – 5th. The City-Wide Clean-up is scheduled for next Saturday, May 11th. • Just another friendly reminder that the Tiffin Emergency Responders Association Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is scheduled for this Sunday, May 5th from 6:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station.
