ON-GOING PROJECTS
North Park Road Improvements – James Watters
MSA is awaiting notice of funding through the Statewide Transportation Alternative Program (TAP).
Anticipate notice in Spring 2024.
A utility coordination meeting for the project was held March 26 at City Hall. Representatives from Unite
Private Network and South Slope were present at the meeting. The representative from International
Transmission attended virtually. Project impacts to utilities were discussed.
Current tasks MSA is working with the City on acquiring necessary Right of Way for the project and
coordination for a Public Involvement Meeting. The meeting has been tentatively scheduled for June 11,
2024, from 5-7 pm at City Hall. The meeting will be an open house style meeting where the public can
attend and ask questions regarding the project. Comment cards will be available for the public to leave
feedback on the project.
Highway 6 Concept and Cost Estimate – James Watters
MSA met with D6 staff for a check-in meeting on April 3. DOT still needs to discuss internally if box culverts
within the project will be replaced or extended as part of the project. DOT needs to confirm responsibility
for conducting soil borings along corridor (City or DOT). Field Exam is anticipated for late June 2024.
MSA is currently working on preparing preliminary plans for the Field Exam meeting.
Comprehensive Water System Evaluation – Clint Wienen
The Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) has been submitted to the DNR for their review and approval.
The DNR review engineer is Skipp Slattenow. MSA has reached out about the new clear well to see if a
variance request would be required. The DNR has responded but clear directions have not been provided
to date.
Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant Design – Clint Wienen
MSA staff met with Doug, Brett, and Adam on April 8th to review the 30% design. Comments provided will
be incorporated into the design. We are currently planning to submit the plans and specifications to the
DNR in mid-July for permitting. The intent is also to bid out the control package around the same timeframe
so the equipment can be delivered in a timely manner so that the treatment plant can go online in 2025.
Trail Connection between Roundabout and Parking Lot – Andrew Inhelder
Final punch list walkthrough was performed on February 27 th.
