After failing a proof roll at the intersection of Third Street And Summerhayes street, it was requested we submitt a price for Subgrade Stabilization, Polymer Grid and and additional 6" of subgrade rock. The price increase from the 1st Change Order Request is due to the crew needing to spot all utilities while doing the additional core out and rock installation. We will also have to us smaller rubber track skid loader to grade with not to damage the utilities. The job was bid using a dozer and placing the material at a faster rate. 2. Subgrade Stabilization, Polymer Grid is highly recommended to help bridge the soft areas. Manufacturers recommendation is to use 12" of subbase with this product. 3. Utility delays and conflicts are for the time of our crew locating utilities that are in conflict with our proposed Storm Pipe runs. We have to expose the utility conflict, wait for the utility company to schedule their crews to raise or lower the conflict, then move back down to that area to finish our work. This work was done at the Intersection of Brown Street And Third Street, in 2 seperate locations. This will also establish a unit price to use if needed for future conflicts. Time can be agreed upon between Rathje foreman and the inspector.
