June 18, 2024 VIA E-MAIL Doug Boldt City Administrator/City Hall Tiffin, IA Re: 2017 Park Place Commercial Urban Renewal Area-Plan Amendment (July, 2024 Amendment) Our File No. 436989-44 Dear Doug: We have prepared the attached updated materials which will enable your City Council to act on June 18th to set July 16th as the date for a public hearing on the amendment to the existing urban renewal plan for the 2017 Park Place Commercial Urban Renewal Area. The notice which is included in the attached resolution must be published once, not less than four (4) and not more than twenty (20) days prior to the date selected for the hearing. The last date on which the notice may effectively be published is July 12, 2024. Please print a copy of the notice for delivery to the newspaper. Please email a copy of the published notice to [email protected]. In addition to publishing the notice of a hearing, a copy of the amendment to the urban renewal plan must be submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Commission must provide a written recommendation to the City Council with respect to whether the amendment is in conformance with the City’s general or comprehensive plans. Also, a “consultation session” must be set up with the local county and school district. Please refer to my separate letter enclosed for further details. Please provide one fully executed set of proceedings, once all the actions have been taken, and contact John Danos or me if you have any questions. Kind regards, Amy Bjork Attachments
