______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL June 28, 2024 • Item K-6 – Now that the bridge on South Park Road is completed, the attached quote from LL Pelling is to seal coat about a third of the distance of Kansas Avenue starting from the south side of the bridge. This is something we had talked to the residents along that road about during the I-80/I-380 Interchange project and something we actually budgeted for last year. Again though, with the completion of the bridge, the City can proceed with this work. • On Wednesday of this week we had a meeting with the DOT about the proposed improvements to Highway 6. MSA lead the meeting with a total of 18 participants. The meeting went well as we touched on about every aspect of the project from securing right-of-way, culvert replacements, safe zone distances and construction staging. There was a decent amount of ‘homework’ divvied out during the meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for October. • The Public Information Meeting on Tuesday, June 25th for the North Park Road Project went well. The next steps in the project will be to further secure the necessary right-of- way, utility easements and temporary construction easements. • Rec Fest is about a month away, scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd. Planning continues for this year’s event. A lot of what is left to finalize is what I would call the small detail(s) items. The event flyer will be in the next council packet. Bri will give a brief update at Tuesday’s meeting. • On Tuesday, June 11, we had our annual meeting with representatives from the school to review the Shared Facilities Use Agreement for the upcoming year. As everyone’s programs continue to change and grow, there will be some mutual amendments to the agreement. I hope to have a draft of the document for Tuesday night with formal approval at the July 16th council meeting. • I will be out of the office the week of July 29th.
