Traffic and street use: East Second Street

The City Code leaves many street-by-street rules to the council: stop signs and no-parking zones (traffic control devices, Chapter 61), the streets snowmobiles, ATVs and off-road utility vehicles may use (§§ 75.04–75.05), weight embargoes (§ 66.01) — set by resolution — and special speed zones, which § 63.04 says are adopted by ordinance. Each designation below shows where it applies, what it sets as printed, when, the instrument, and whether a later one at the same place replaced it.

Unofficial register compiled from the resolutions, ordinances and the 2010 Code in this archive. "Current" means no later designation at the same place is in the archive; signs on the street, a resolution the archive does not hold, or an Iowa DOT order (Highway 6) may differ. The City of Tiffin's records govern.

A removal: nothing is in force here from this instrument.

How it is built: every resolution whose own heading (the minutes' title when the archive has no copy) names a designation is read sentence by sentence from its resolving clauses; each sentence gives the kind, the place and what it sets. Speed zones are read from § 63.04 as each ordinance sets it out, compared with the zones before it. A later designation of the same kind at the same place is taken to replace an earlier one ("inferred") unless the later one names it; stop signs add to each other unless one removes them. Hearing dates, plans, bids, agreements and street closures for one event are left out; parses the rules cannot settle wait for a person before they are listed. JSON · built 2026-10-22
