C-2O.09 LANDSCAPING
REGULATIONS At the time of application for a building permit in all commercial zones, an applicant must supply a landscaping plan for review by the Planning and Zoning Commission or the city designee. The landscaping plan must be appropriate to the zone and must be submitted at the time of application for the building permit. The plan is subject to review and approval of the City.
Commercial zones must provide in their landscaping plans for the placement of no less than one deciduous tree for each acre or less of zoned area. The city review may also request additional landscaping such as shrubs and border vegetation if this appears to be beneficial and conducive to a more esthetic, attractive and orderly development of the area.
History
Dates: an Iowa ordinance takes effect when it is published after adoption. Where the clerk's certificate records the publication date it is used; otherwise the adoption date stands in for it. "Not yet consolidated" means the ordinance amends this section but its new text has not been checked into this compilation yet: read the ordinance.
