______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL July 11, 2025 • Dirt work continues at the Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Project. Neuzil is building up the site in ‘lifts’ with compaction testing being performed by Team Services. Fill and compaction work will continue into next week. • Mainline paving has been completed on West 3rd Street between Main Street and Grant Street. Paving on Main Street between 3rd Street and Highway 6 should be completed next week. The watermain tie in on Grant Street at Highway 6 should take place in two weeks which may cause some disruption at that intersection for a couple of days. Once that is completed, Rathje will be removing Grant Street. • The next scheduled Joint Entities Meeting is on Monday, July 21st. The meeting will be hosted by the City of Coralville at their City Hall. The meeting is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. I will e-mail the agenda to everyone once I have received it. • Just a friendly reminder that Rec Fest is just under a month away, scheduled for Saturday, August 9th. Planning continues for this year’s event which includes a change in venue. As discussed previously, the event will be held in the open green space area between the New York and Ventnor buildings in the Park Place City Center. Attached is a flyer of the event. Hope to see you all there! • Stop signs have been ordered for the intersections of Croell Avenue and Oakdale Boulevard and Croell Avenue and Goldfinch Drive as was discussed at the last council meeting. Once they are received, the Public Works Department will get them installed right away to continue to try and help mitigate the traffic on Croell because of the North Park Road detour. • Just a friendly reminder, I will be out of the office the week of July 28th.
