AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of Pay Estimate #8 – Rathje Construction, Original Town
Urbanization Project
ACTION: Motion
Background:
The Original Town Urbanization – Phase 3 project is a major infrastructure improvement
initiative aimed at upgrading streets, utilities, and pedestrian facilities in Tiffin’s historic core.
Rathje Construction Co. is the general contractor for the project, which began in 2024 and is
progressing on schedule.
Pay Estimate No. 8 reflects work completed between July 1 and July 31, 2025, and has been
reviewed and certified by Hart-Frederick Consultants, the City’s engineering firm.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of Pay Estimate No. 8 to Rathje Construction Co. in the amount of
$447,569.55 for work completed on the Original Town Urbanization – Phase 3 project.
