______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS October 17, 2025 • James Watters with MSA will be virtually attending the work session on Tuesday night to review the Highway 6 expansion project and to discuss the intersections of Croell and Kimberlite and Highway 6. Attached are five options/drawings of the improvement possibilities we’d like to discuss. Because of the northbound turn lane on Highway 6 at the Croell intersection, a southbound vehicle trying to make an eastbound turn onto Highway 6 (at times) can encounter a site issue. We are potentially anticipating some of the same issues at Kimberlite and Highway 6 once that northbound turn lane is installed. Even with the traffic signal that is designed to be installed at that intersection, we still can see issues with a southbound vehicle on Kimberlite trying to turn eastbound. While this project is still in the design phase, now is the time to make any changes to help the turning movements of these intersections. • Attached is a draft job description for the new full-time Fire Chief’s position. Please review the document and come to the work session with any additions, corrections, changes or points of discussion for the position moving forward. Like we’ve done before, this will be on the following work session agenda for review and the regular meeting agenda for formal approval and authorization to advertise.
