These funds are intended to support future major equipment and vehicle purchases for the department. The City of Tiffin recently sold surplus fire department equipment, generating $100,000 in revenue. The Fire Department has ongoing and future capital needs, including the replacement of aging vehicles and acquisition of specialized equipment. Establishing a dedicated savings account for these funds ensures fiscal responsibility and transparency in planning for these expenditures. Recommendation Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 2025-084 to formally transfer the proceeds into the Fire Department savings account.
