AGENDA ITEM # I-3 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: October 31, 2025 AGENDA ITEM: Resolution 2025-084 – A Resolution Approving the Tranfer of Proceeds from the Sale of City Equipment to the Fire Department Saving Account ACTION: Approval Purpose The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the transfer of $100,000 in proceeds from the sale of City equipment into the Fire Department savings account. These funds are intended to support future major equipment and vehicle purchases for the department. The City of Tiffin recently sold surplus fire department equipment, generating $100,000 in revenue. The Fire Department has ongoing and future capital needs, including the replacement of aging vehicles and acquisition of specialized equipment. Establishing a dedicated savings account for these funds ensures fiscal responsibility and transparency in planning for these expenditures. Recommendation Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 2025-084 to formally transfer the proceeds into the Fire Department savings account.
