(563) 264-1550 Ext. 166 o In-Depth Meeting: November 17 “These adjustments help ensure that our community has clear access to both their local government and the statewide election process,” Mayor Brad Bark said. “We want residents to be able to participate fully in elections without any overlap or confusion with Council business.” The City Council traditionally met on Thursdays until the Rules of Council were amended in September 2025, shifting meetings to Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. beginning with the October 7, 2025 meeting. The updated schedule maintains that Tuesday format while avoiding conflicts with statewide election dates. Voter Information for Muscatine County Voter Registration - Muscatine County residents may register to vote online, by mail, or in person at the Muscatine County Auditor’s Office. Iowa also allows Election Day registration with proof of identity and residence. Voters must be U.S. citizens, Iowa residents, and at least 17 years old (18 by Election Day). Absentee Voting - Voters may cast absentee ballots in three ways:  In-person absentee voting at the Auditor’s Office beginning 20 days before the election.  Absentee voting by mail, with request forms due to the Auditor’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on the Monday 15 days before the election.  Returning absentee ballots to the Auditor’s Office or the voter’s polling place by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Voter ID Requirements - Iowa law requires voters to present an acceptable form of photo ID when voting in person.
