033 RESOLUTION NO. 2025- A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING OF CITY COUNCIL PROCEDURAL RULES FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN WHEREAS, City Staff drafted City Council Procedural Rules to facilitate City Council meeting procedures; and WHEREAS, this policy was revised based on input from City Council members; and WHEREAS, Iowa State Code 372. 5) 13( and Tiffin City Code 5. 03 Powers and Duties and per City Charter Section 04 make clear that the 2. City Council may adopt its own rules including for governing business meetings; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that instituting rules governing an efficient and effective way to conduct City business; and, WHEREAS, the City and all residents would benefit from the adoption of this set of rules governing City Council meetings. NOW BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa that the attached City Council Procedural Rules for the City of Tiffin are hereby adopted. On the 1st day of April, 2025, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Counciilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 033,A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING OF CITY COUNCIL PROCEDURAL RULES FOR THE. CITY OF TIFFIN and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Olney. Ayes: ILimkemann, Havens, Orris, Olney, Schnedler. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Kasparek declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 033,A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING OF CITY COUNCIL PROCEDURAL RULES FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
