An employee may elect to use compensatory time off, in lieu of overtime payment, to be taken at a later date, which will be computed at and half (1 ) times the time one- actually worked overtime. Compensatory time off shall be taken and used only at the direction of the or at the convenience of the employer and with the prior approval of the City Administrator. Compensatory time shall be allowed to accumulate to a maximum of sixty ( 60) hours. Unused compensatory time shall be paid on the first pay period of the new fiscal year at the employee' s regular rate of pay only at the employee' s request.
