RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 020 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 4, 2025, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2024 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS Whereas, the City of Tiffin currently operates under the 2021 International Fire Code and its amendments; and, Whereas, the City wishes to consider updating the current code with the 2024 International Fire Code with its amendments; and, Whereas, it is necessary to hold a public hearing on such potential action, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to set the date of March 4, 2025, for a public hearing to adopt the 2024 International Fire Code with amendments. On the 18th day of February, 2025, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Limkemann introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 020,A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 4,2025, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2024 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Olney. Ayes: Limkemann, Havens, Orris, Olney, Schnedler. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Kasparek declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 020,A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 4,2025, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2024 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
