RESOLUTION NO. 2023- 040 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 20, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS Whereas, the City of Tiffin currently operates under the 2018 International Fire Code and its amendments; and, Whereas, the City wishes to consider updating the current code with the 2021 International Fire Code with its amendments; and, Whereas, it is necessary to hold a public hearing on such potential action, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to set the date of June 20, 2023, for a public hearing to adopt the 2021 International Fire Code with amendments. On the 6th day of June, 2023, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023- 040,A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF JUNE 20, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Limkemann. Ayes: Orris, Limkemann, Schnedler, Havens, Olney. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023- 040,A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MAY 30, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE WITH AMENDMENTS to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
