RESOLUTION NO. 2023- 009 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF FEBRUARY 21, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE TOTAL MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS FOR FY 2023- 2024 Whereas, Senate File 634 was approvedMay 23, 2019, which aims to further notify on the public about potential property tax changes, and; Whereas, This process requires a new, additional public notice, public hearing and resolution, and; Whereas, The City Council must hold a public hearing and pass a resolution approving the maximum tax dollars that may be levied for the affected levies during the next fiscal year, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set a public hearing for February 21, 2023, at 7: 00 p. m.to approve a maximum property tax dollars resolution. On the 31St day of January, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Olney introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023- 009,A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF FEBRUARY 21, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE TOTAL MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS FOR FY 2023- 2024 and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Orris. Ayes: Havens, Olney, Schnedler, Limkemann, Orris. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023- 009,A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF FEBRUARY 21, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE TOTAL MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS FOR FY 2023- 2024 to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
