RESOLUTION NO. 2022-009 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE TOTAL MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS FOR FY 2022-2023 Whereas, Senate File 634 was approved on May 23, 2019, which aims to further notify the public about potential property tax changes, and; Whereas, This process requires a new, additional public notice, public hearing and resolution, and; Whereas, The City Council must hold a public hearing and pass a resolution approving the maximum tax dollars that may be levied for the affected levies during the next fiscal year, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set a public hearing for February 15, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. to approve a maximum property tax dollars resolution. On the 1st day of February, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Schnedler introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2022-009, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE TOTAL MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS FOR FY 2022-2023 and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Orris. Ayes: Havens, Olney, Orris, Schnedler, Limkemann. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2022-009, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE TOTAL MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS FOR FY 2022-2023 to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
