RESOLUTION NO. 2021-068 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF DECEMBER 21, 2021, FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ESTIMATE OF COSTS, AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICES FOR THE TIFFIN PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING PROJECT AND OPENING OF BIDS ON DECEMBER 16, 2021 Whereas, Martin Gardner Architecture and Shive Hattery, has prepared the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents for the construction of the Tiffin Public Works Building Project; Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa: 1. The date for the Public Hearing of the Project is set for December 21, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. and, 2. The date for the opening and reading of bids for the Project is set for December 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. and, 3. The date for consideration of bids for the Project by the City Council is set for December 21, 2021, at 7:00 P.M. and will be acted upon at such time and place or at such time and place as may then be set. 4. The City Council hereby directs the City Clerk to have published the Notice of Hearing of the Contract Documents for the Project in a newspaper of general circulation in the City, which publication shall be made at least once, not less than four (4) and not more than twenty (20) days prior to the date of the said hearing. 5. The City Council hereby directs the City Clerk to have published the Notice to Bidders of the bid letting for the Project by posting at least once, not less than thirteen (13) and not more than forty-five (45) days prior to the date set for receipt of bids, in each of the following three places: (i) in a relevant contractor plan room service with statewide circulation; (ii) in a relevant construction lead generating service with statewide circulation; and (iii) on an internet site sponsored by either the City or a statewide association that represents the City. On the 16th day of December, 2021, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Schnedler introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2021-068, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF DECEMBER 21, 2021, FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ESTIMATE OF COSTS, AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICES FOR THE TIFFIN PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING PROJECT AND OPENING OF BIDS ON DECEMBER 16, 2021 and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Limkemann. Ayes: Havens, Schnedler, Limkemann, Olney, Bartels. Nays: None. Absent: None.
