RESOLUTION NO. 2021-065 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF NOVEMBER 16, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND CHAPTER 55, ANIMAL PROTECTION AND CONTROL, DEFINITIONS SECTION FOR POULTRY Whereas, the City of Tiffin is currently considering an Urban Chicken ordinance, and; Whereas, this ordinance would allow for chickens to be kept inside the city limits, and; Whereas, Chapter 55 of the Tiffin Municipal Code defines poultry as livestock, and; Whereas, with the potential approval of the Urban Chicken ordinance, this definition will need to be modified. Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the date for the Public Hearing is set for November 16, 2021, to modify the definition of poultry in Chapter 55. On the 2nd day of November, 2021, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2021-065, A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE OF NOVEMBER 16, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND CHAPTER 55, ANIMAL PROTECTION AND CONTROL, DEFINITIONS SECTION FOR POULTRY FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Bartels. Ayes: Schnedler, Havens, Limkemann, Olney, Bartels. Nays: None. Absent: None Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2021-065, A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE OF NOVEMBER 16, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND CHAPTER 55, ANIMAL PROTECTION AND CONTROL, DEFINITIONS SECTION FOR POULTRY FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
