RESOLUTION NO. 2021-062 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF NOVEMBER 2, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE SPILLS ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA Whereas, the City of Tiffin recognizes the need to have a hazardous substance spills ordinance for the Fire Department, and; Whereas, the intent of the ordinance is to reduce the risk to the public that these spills may cause and to establish the responsibility for the notification, treatment, removal, and cleanup of these hazardous substance spills, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the date for the Public Hearing is set for November 2, 2021, to discuss a hazardous substance spills ordinance. On the 19th day of October, 2021, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Limkemann introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2021-062, A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE OF NOVEMBER 2, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE SPILLS ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Havens. Ayes: Bartels, Havens, Limkemann, Olney, Schnedler Nays: None Absent: None Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2021-062, A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE OF NOVEMBER 2, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE SPILLS ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
