RESOLUTION NO. 2021-056 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ELECTRIC FACILITIES CONSTRUCTION AND PAYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN CENTRAL IOWA POWER COOPERATIVE, THE CITY OF TIFFIN AND THE CITY OF NORTH LIBERTY REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW TRANSMISSION LINE Whereas, the Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is installing a power upgrade project; and, Whereas, the proposed route will conflict with the City of Tiffin and the City of North Liberty’s future road improvement projects; and, Whereas, the City of Tiffin, the City of North Liberty and CIPCO have agreed to partner to revise the project with the relocation of transmission poles to eliminate the conflict of future City projects; and, Whereas, it is the parties desire to agree and establish, in writing per the attached agreement, their understanding concerning the relocation of the transmission poles consistent with those terms and conditions including the payments arrangements, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve authorize the signatures on the attached Electric Facilities Construction and Payment Agreement between the City of Tiffin, the City of North Liberty and CIPCO. On this 5th day of October, 2021, at the regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Olney introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2021-056, A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ELECTRIC FACILITIES CONSTRUCTION AND PAYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN CENTRAL IOWA POWER COOPERATIVE, THE CITY OF TIFFIN AND THE CITY OF NORTH LIBERTY REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW TRANSMISSION LINE and made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Bartels. Ayes: Havens, Olney, Limkemann, Bartels. Nays: Schnedler. Absent: None. Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2021-056, A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ELECTRIC FACILITIES CONSTRUCTION AND PAYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN CENTRAL IOWA POWER COOPERATIVE, THE CITY OF TIFFIN AND THE CITY OF NORTH LIBERTY REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW TRANSMISSION LINE to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereunto.
