RESOLUTION NO. 2021-051 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, SECTION 92.08 OF CHAPTER 92, TO INCREASE THE WATER DEPOSIT AMOUNT Whereas, the City Council recognizes the need to have a customer utility deposit amount necessary to cover costs of setting up and final billing the service; and, Whereas, the costs of the utility service sometimes goes unpaid by the customer, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to set the date for a public hearing for September 21, 2021, to amend the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, Section 92.08 of Chapter 92, to increase the water deposit amount. On the 7th day of September, 2021, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Schnedler introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2021-051, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, SECTION 92.08 OF CHAPTER 92, TO INCREASE THE WATER DEPOSIT AMOUNT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Havens. Ayes: Limkemann, Olney, Havens, Schnedler, Bartels Nays: None Absent: None Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2021-051, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2021, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, SECTION 92.08 OF CHAPTER 92, TO INCREASE THE WATER DEPOSIT AMOUNT to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
