RESOLUTION NO. 2020-037 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO DISPOSE OF RIGHT OF WAY Whereas, the City intends to dispose of the following described parcel of real estate, abutting a portion of parcel #0633451004 on Ireland Avenue: A PORTION OF AUDITOR'S PARCEL 2004073, IN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 80 NORTH, RANGE 7 WEST, OF THE FIFTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, TIFFIN, JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Commencing at the Northeast Corner of Auditor's Parcel 2004073 in Tiffin, Iowa, in accordance with the Plat thereof Recorded in Plat Book 48 at Page 44 of the Records of the Johnson County Recorder's Office; Thence S01°05'16"E, along the East Line of said Auditor's Parcel 2004073, a distance of 520.61 feet, to the Point of Beginning; Thence S08°41'08"E, along said East Line, 302.53 feet; Thence S10°13'20"W, along said East Line, 203.96 feet; Thence N01°05'16"W, 499.87 feet, along a line parallel with and 50.00 feet normally distant Easterly from the Centerline of Ireland Avenue to the Point of Beginning. Said Right-of-Way Vacation Parcel contains 0.23 acre (9,997 square feet) and is subject to easements and restrictions of record. by conveyance to Hightower Development Inc., the adjacent property owner. The proposed disposition is for $1000. Now, therefore be it resolved that a public hearing on the proposed disposition of real estate shall be held at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd day of June, 2020. On the 19th day of May, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2020-037, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO DISPOSE OF RIGHT OF WAY and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Bartels. Ayes: Walls, Havens, Olney, Bartels, Schnedler Nays: None Absent: None Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2020-037, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE AND DISPOSE OF RIGHT OF WAY to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
