RESOLUTIONNO.2020-015 ARESOLUTIONSETTINGADATEFORAPUBLICHEARINGTOAMENDTHE MUNICIPALCODEOFTHECITYOFTIFFINTOADDASECTIONPROHIBITING THEUSEOFSEMI-TRACTORENGINEBRAKES Whereas,TheCityCouncil recognizes theneed tohave language intheMunicipal Code toprohibit theuse ofsemi-tractor engine brakes inside thecitylimits, and; Whereas,TheCityCouncil wishes tosetapublic hearing todiscuss theordinance change; Now,thereforebeitresolved bytheCityCouncil oftheCityofTiffin, Iowa tosetthe date ofMarch 24,2020, forapublic hearing toamend theMunicipal Code ofTiffinto prohibit theuseofsemi-tractor engine brakes. Onthe10 thdayofMarch, 2020, ataregular meeting oftheTiffin CityCouncil, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Walls introduced RESOLUTIONNO.2020-015,ARESOLUTION SETTINGADATEFORAPUBLICHEARINGTOAMENDTHEMUNICIPALCODE OFTHECITYOFTIFFINTOADDASECTIONPROHIBITINGTHEUSEOFSEMI- TRACTORBRAKES andmade amotion forapproval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Olney. Ayes: Bartels, Schnedler, Walls, Havens, Olney Nays: None Absent: None Whereupon fiveCouncil members were present andvoted approval andMayor Berner declared thatthe RESOLUTIONNO.2020-015,ARESOLUTIONSETTINGADATE FORAPUBLICHEARINGTOAMENDTHEMUNICIPALCODEOFTHECITYOF TIFFINTOADDASECTIONPROHIBITINGTHEUSEOFSEMI-TRACTORBRAKES tobeadopted andsignified hisapproval ofthesame byaffixing hissignature thereto. thdayofMarch, 2020.
