RESOLUTION NO. 2019-055 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR THE 2019 INTERSTATE 380 BOX CULVERT AND GRADING PROJECT Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin received bids on May 6, 2019, for the 2019 Interstate 380 Box Culvert and Grading Project; and, Whereas, the Iowa Department of Transportation has reviewed the bids for the project; and, Whereas, the City Council has identified the lowest, most responsible bid; and, Whereas, the City Council wishes to award the project and begin the contractual process; and, Whereas, the project is a pass-through expense for the City of Tiffin to be reimbursed by the Iowa Department of Transportation. Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign all necessary notices, documents and forms of contract as required and necessary to execute a contract with the lowest, most responsible bidder as identified and recommended by the City Engineer. On the 7th day of May, 2019, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2019-055, A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR THE 2019 INTERSTATE 380 BOX CULVERT AND GRADING PROJECT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Havens. Ayes: Upton, Ryan, Havens, Schnedler, Bartels Nays: None Absent: None Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2019-055, A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR THE 2019 INTERSTATE 380 BOX CULVERT AND GRADING PROJECT to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
