NOW,THEREFOREBEITRESOLVED,bytheCityCouncil oftheCityofTiffin, Iowa; Section 1.TheCityCouncil ofTiffin, Iowa, requests theJohnson County Commissioner ofElections tosubmit tothevoters inTiffin, Iowa, aproposition toauthorize theimposition ofa 0.27 (27cents) Support Public Library levyintheCityofTiffin, Johnson County, Iowa, tobe effective onJuly1,2018. Section 2.Therevenue fromtheSupport Public Library levywillbeallocated tothe City ofTiffin forthepurpose ofincreasing theannual operating budget oftheTiffin Public Library. Section 3.ThattheCityAdministrator/Clerk ishereby authorized anddirected toprovide acertified copyofthisresolution andtheattached proposed ballot language (Attachment A)to theCounty Commissioner ofElections ofJohnson County. nd Onthe22 dayofSeptember, ataspecial meeting oftheTiffin CityCouncil, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Bartels introduced RESOLUTIONNO.2017-089,ARESOLUTION CALLINGFORAPUBLICMEASURETOAUTHORIZEASUPPORTLIBRARYLEVY INTHEAMOUNTOF $0.27PER $1000OFVALUATIONFORTHETIFFINPUBLIC LIBRARYandmade amotion forapproval.
