DocuSign Envelope ID: 34F2FA2D- D8C1-43E7-A7D5-E213925A130F Tiffin/436989-16 RESOLUTION NO. 2017-059 Resolution toApprove Urban Renewal PlanAmendment forthe2017 Park Place Commercial Urban Renewal Area WHEREAS, asapreliminary step toexercising theauthority conferred upon Iowa cities byChapter resolution finding thatone ormore slums, blighted oreconomic development areas exist inthe municipality andthat therehabilitation, conservation, redevelopment, development ora combination thereof, ofsuch area orareas isnecessary intheinterest ofthepublic health, safety orwelfare ofthe residents ofthemunicipality; and WHEREAS, thisCityCouncil oftheCity ofTiffinresolution established the2017 Park Place Commercial Urban Renewal Area therein; and anhasbeen prepared which the and WHEREAS, notice ofapublic hearing bytheCity Council ontheproposed Amendment was heretofore given instrict compliance with theprovisions ofChapter 403 oftheCode of Iowa, andtheCouncil hasconducted saidhearing onJune 6,2017; and WHEREAS, copies ofthe Amendment, notice ofpublic hearing and notice ofa consultation meeting with respect totheAmendment were mailed toJohnson County andthe nd Clear Creek Amana Community School District; theconsultation meeting washeld onthe22 dayofMay 2017; andresponses toanycomments orrecommendations received following the consultation meeting were made asrequired bylaw; NOW, THEREFORE, ItIsResolved bytheCity Council oftheCity ofTiffin, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. The Amendment, attached hereto and made apart hereof, ishereby inall respects approved. Section 2. Itishereby determined bythisCity Council asfollows: A. The activities proposed under theAmendment conform tothegeneral plan forthedevelopment oftheCity; B.
