RESOLUTION NO. 2016- 022 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AGREEMENT FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE REVITALIZE IOWA' S SOUND ECONOMY PROGRAM RISE) PROJECT Whereas, The Villages LLC, has partnered with the City of Tiffin for the extension of Villages Drive, and; Whereas, the Iowa Department of Transportation has granted the City of Tiffin a Revitalize Iowa' s Sound Economy ( RISE) Grant ( Project No: RM -7662( 611)-- 9D- 52 and Iowa DOT Agreement No: 2016- R- 014) for the extension of such road in the amount of 1, 578, 680; Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to accept the Revitalize Iowa' s Sound Economy ( RISE) Grant and proceed with the agreement signified by the Mayor's signature. On the 22nd day of March, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2016- 022, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AGREEMENT FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE REVITALIZE IOWA' S SOUND ECONOMY PROGRAM RISE) PROJECT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Upton. Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Havens, Bartels, Upton Nays: None. Absent: None. WhereuponFive Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the Resolution No. 2016- 022, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AGREEMENT FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE REVITALIZE IOWA' S SOUND ECONOMY PROGRAM ( RISE) PROJECT to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto. 22nd Passed by the City Council on the day of March, 2016.
