C e RESOLUTION NO. 2013- 187 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE IA DOT PROPOSED SPEED LIMIT REDUCING RECOMMENDATIONS ON HIGHWAY 6 Whereas, The City had a speed study conducted in September 2013 on Highway 6 that was supported' by the IA Department of Transportation; w Whereas the City` Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that per the results, of the L speed study`it is recommended to reduce the speed' limits on the West side of town and the City supports such a reduction in the speed limit; Now, therefore be it resolved by.the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve r A accepting the IA DOT proposed speed limit reductions on Highway 6. On the 9th day of October, at a regular meeting" of the Tiffin City -Council; Tiffin, Iowa, , Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2013- 187, ARESOLUTION ` ACCEPTING THE IA DOT PROPOSED SPEED LIMIT REDUCING RECOMMENDATIONS ON HIGHWAY 6 and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Bartels. Ayes:- Kahler, Ryan, Bartels, Upton, Phillips Nays: none. Absent: none. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the Resolution No. 2013- 187, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE IA DOT PROPOSED - SPEED LIMIT REDUCING RECOMMENDATIONS ON HIGHWAY 6 to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto., n. 9th Passed by theCityCouncil on the day of_October, 2013.
