CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL March 13, 2026 • We had the preconstruction meeting for the Forevergreen Road and Jasper Avenue Improvements on Friday morning in North Liberty. The scheduled start date for the project from the contractor is April 1st. The project’s substantial completion date is November 15, 2026. • Boomerang has started the next phase of the North Park Road Improvements project. They have begun to remove the remaining pavement and will continue to work on the area in and around the box culvert. Just as a reminder, a road closure map is included in the packet which includes the detour route. • On Wednesday, March 4th, Ashley and I both attended the Iowa League of Cities Local Leaders Day at the capitol. It was a really good day in which we got updates on the proposed bills that will directly affect cities and local government. And although brief, we did get a chance to meet with State Senators Dawn Driscoll and Dan Dawson and State Representative Amy Nielson. • An item for a future work session that Brett would like to discuss is the potential of preparing the second (pilot) water well that was identified when bringing on well #5. Brett thinks once the new treatment plant project is completed, that might be the time to look at the need and feasibility to bring that additional well online. • Just a friendly reminder, Ashley will be at the Iowa Municipal Management Institute Conference that is held in Iowa City from March 25th – 27th, and I will be in Arizona on March 26th and 27th.
