AGENDA ITEM # K-12 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: April 3, 2026 AGENDA ITEM: Discussion and Consideration of the purchase of a Hotsy Cleaning System for the Wastewater Department ACTION: Motion Background The Wastewater Department regularly performs cleaning and maintenance tasks that require high-pressure hot water, including removing grease buildup, sludge, and debris from equipment and surfaces. Current methods are labor-intensive and less effective, often requiring additional time or outside services. The proposed pressure washer will allow staff to complete these tasks in-house, reducing downtime and improving overall maintenance practices. Recommendation Staff recommends approval of the purchase of the Hotsy 1075BE Compact Portable Hot Water Pressure Washer in the amount of $13,938.48, to be used by the Water & Wastewater Departments for routine maintenance and operational needs.
