AGENDA ITEM # K-2 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: April 2, 2026 AGENDA ITEM: Discussion and Consideration of Change Order #14 – Boomerang Corp – North Park Road ACTION: Motion Background The North Park Road Project is currently under construction by Boomerang Corp. as part of the City’s ongoing infrastructure improvements. Change Order No. 14 has been submitted to address necessary modifications associated with the adjacent Homemakers development. These changes primarily reflect adjustments to roadway, storm sewer, and water infrastructure to accommodate new access points and utility demands. Change Order No. 14 includes a combination of quantity increases, decreases, removed items, and new items. The modifications are largely driven by: • Addition of a new entrance from Mopar Drive to serve the Homemakers site • Adjustments to storm sewer infrastructure to accommodate increased flow and connections • Upsizing of water main from 8-inch to 10-inch to meet service needs • Installation of additional signage, pavement markings, sidewalks, and related improvements • Modifications to trail alignment due to the new entrance These changes ensure proper integration of the development with the existing roadway and utility systems. Staff Recommendation Staff recommends approval of Change Order No. 14 with Boomerang Corp. in the amount of $53,454.95, resulting in a revised contract total of $5,554,449.41, and a contract time extension of 6 working days.
