AGENDA ITEM # K-2 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: April 17, 2026 AGENDA ITEM: Discussion and Consideration of Pay Application #10 – Miron Construction – Tiffin Recreation Center Project ACTION: Motion Background The City of Tiffin entered into an agreement with Miron Construction Co., Inc. for construction of the Community Recreation Center located at 105 S. Park Road. The project is currently under construction, with work progressing across multiple building systems including structural, mechanical, electrical, and interior components. Pay Application No. 10 represents progress through February 28, 2026 and reflects the value of work completed and materials stored on-site to date, as reviewed and certified by the project architect. Key figures include: • Original Contract Amount: $12,435,142.00 • Net Change Orders: ($1,042,001.88) • Revised Contract Amount: $11,393,140.12 • Total Completed to Date: $5,699,348.90 • Retainage Held: $284,967.45 • Previous Payments: $4,891,111.62 • Current Payment Requested: $523,269.83 The project is approximately 50% complete based on total work completed to date. Work completed this period includes continued progress on structural systems, mechanical/electrical rough-ins, and building enclosure components. Materials stored on-site and included in this pay application (as shown in the attached documentation and photos) have been verified and are eligible for payment in accordance with contract provisions. The application has been reviewed and certified by Atura Architecture, confirming that the work completed is in accordance with the contract documents and that the payment amount is appropriate. Staff Recommendation Staff recommends approval of Pay Application No. 10 to Miron Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $523,269.83 for work completed through February 28, 2026.
