September 2, 2004 CERTIFIED MAIL 7000 0520 0017 6141 1959 Clear Creek Mobile Home Park Jim Riggan, owner PO Box 133 Tiffin, IA 52340 Dear Jim Riggan, This letter is to thank you for coming to this office today to discuss payment of outstanding city utility charges now due in the amount of $12,052.23. In conversation you indicate a difficulty with providing payment at this time due to other financial matters that are currently underway. You understand that the city in lieu of water disconnection can assess these outstanding charges in the same manner as property taxes. This letter is to acknowledge that the city will proceed to certify your current utility charges in the amount of $12,052.23 for the Clear Creek Mobile Home Park to the Johnson County Treasurer, and that you understand that this procedure applies these costs to your tax collections and that this is acceptable to you. The $12,052.23 charges are for billing of 8/31/04 for utility use through the month of July 2004. Future billings will be sent to the above provided address on or near the first of each month and are customarily due on the 20th of each month following billing. You can anticipate that the city will expect payment of each utility bill on the due date or expect notice of shut-off to follow at this property. The billing in the past has been assessed on use of 52 mobile homes as reported by your employee Duaine Hosteller. The city will want to review and update the current number of mobile homes presently being served in the mobile park. If you have information in this regard please contact the city. The City will proceed with certification of the $12,052.23 in the same manner as property taxes for collection of billing 8/31/04 for utility use through July 31, 2004 and as authorized by the city council.
