CITYOFTIFFIN ORDINANCE NO. 2024-515 ANORDINANCE TOAMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OFTIFFIN, IOWA, CHAPTER 63,SECTION 63.04,SPEED REGULATIONS, FOREVERGREEN ROAD BEITENACTED bytheCity Council oftheCity ofTiffin, Iowa: Section I. Purpose: Thepurpose ofthisordinance istoamend Section 63.04,Code ofOrdinances, toinclude aspecial speed zoneforForevergreen Road from North Park Road toCroell Avenue. Section II. Amendment: Section 63.04ofChapter 63ishereby amended asfollows: CHAPTER63 SPEEDREGULATIONS 63.04 SPECIAL SPEED ZONES. Inaccordance with requirements oftheIowa Department ofTransportation, orwhenever theCouncil shall determine upon thebasis ofanengineering andtraffic investigation thatanyspeed limit listed in Section 63.02isgreater orless than isreasonable orsafe under theconditions found toexist atany intersection orother place orupon any partoftheCity street system, theCouncil shall determine and adopt byordinance such higher or lower speed limit asitdeems reasonable and safeatsuch location. The following special speed zones have been established: Code ofIowa, Sec. 321.290) 1. Special 10MPH Speed Zones. Aspeed inexcess of10miles per hour isunlawful onallalleys within theCity. 2. Special 25MPH Speed Zones. Aspeed inexcess of25miles per hour isunlawful onanyofthefollowing designated streets orparts thereof. A. OnRoberts Ferry Road. 3. Special 35MPH Speed Zones. Aspeed inexcess of35miles per hour isunlawful onanyofthefollowing designated streets orparts thereof. A. OnPark Road, from Forevergreen Road southerly to340th Street SW, except thedesignated School District zone along Park Road, which willhaveaspeed zone of25miles per hour. B. OnRoberts Ferry Road from the exitramp ofInterstate I- 80 westbound, north totheexisting posted 25miles perhour
