AGENDA ITEM # K-4 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: May 14, 2026 AGENDA ITEM: Discussion and Consideration of Noise Waiver for Schrader Excavating for Hours of Operation for Site Prep Work for Marvin Gardens in Park Place and Council Action as Needed ACTION: Motion SYNOPSIS: Schrader Excavating has requested an exception to the City’s Noise Pollution Ordinance for their hours of operation while working on the Marvin Gardens site pad which is west of The Baltic in Park Place. Code Section 48.05 states that ‘no person shall operate construction equipment before 7:00 a.m. and after 10:00 p.m. unless the Council grants a written exception with an expiration date’. Schrader will be working from May 26, 2026, through June 5, 2026, to haul in fill dirt for the site pad. This work will be done mostly in the overnight hours based on the project and location they will be getting the fill dirt from. The potential approval of this motion, and the minutes from the meeting, this will suffice as the Council’s written exception to the ordinance.
