Minutes of Regular Council Meeting, June 7, 1973, Town of Tiffin, Tiffin, Iowa Mayor Stratton presiding: Council present: Kobold, Potter, Spivey, Birtcher. Absent: Janssen and Att. Neuzil Minutes of May 2, 1973 read and approved. Glenn Potter made a motion to hire Marcia Lippert as Town Clerk, and to pay her the regular salary during the month she will be training. Beverly Birtcher seconded the motion. All in favor by roll call vote. Ted Spivey made a motion to approve the cigarette permit applications from Slim's, The Lark and Franks Service. Glenn Potter seconded. All in favor by roll call vote. Vern Aubrecht present to discuss hauling trash to Iowa City Landfill. Landfill to bill the Town of Tiffin, the Town then will bill Mr. Aubrecht. Mr. Aubrecht to be Town's designated hauler. Further discussion tabled to a later date when we will know more about the tonage carried from Tiffin. Mr. Aubrecht stated that he planned to raise the garbage collection rates in Tiffin, to 3.50. Glenn Potter made a motion to pay the following bills. Kandy Kobold seconded.
