TOWN OF TIFFIN TIFFIN, IOWA 52340 Minutes of Regular Council Meeting, July 18, 1973, Town of Tiffin. Mayor Stratton presiding. Present: Bev Birtcher, Ted Spivey, Glenn Potter. Absent: Roger Janssen and Kandy Kobold. Att. present. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved with correction of L. L. Pelling Company, Inc. estimate for street work changed from $4700 to $4042.80. Ted Spivey moved to accept a proposal from Iowa Road Builders subject to their submission of a written bid for their oral estimate of $650-$1000 for street repairs. Bev Birtcher seconded the motion. All in favor by roll call vote. Clerk instructed to notify Robert Sadler of agreement with Iowa Road Builders so that he can have the necessary street work done pursuant to his agreement with the Town Council at their meeting on April 4, 1973. Discussion of water and sewer bills for Ray Sheetz. All bills to be sent to Mr. Sheetz. Ted Spivey moved to approve payment of $30.00 enrollment fees for Ralph Brown and Bob Martin to attend meetings for sewer plant operators and water works operators if they desire to attend. Glenn Potter seconded the motion. All in favor by roll call vote. Ralph Neuzil to prepare Home Rule adoptions for next Council meeting. Glenn Potter moved to send a letter to John Stahmer advising him of Nuisance Ordinance. A copy of the letter is to be sent to Mr. Fisher of the Johnson County Health Department. Ted Spivey seconded the motion. All in favor by roll call vote. Ted Spivey moved to adjourn to August 1, 1973. Glenn Potter seconded the motion. All in favor by roll call vote. Meeting adjourned.
