AGENDA ITEM # G-2, I-2 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: May 15, 2026 AGENDA ITEM: Resolution No. 2026- 035 – A Resolution Approving the Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the Village Drive and Roberts Ferry Road Traffic Signal Project ACTION: Motion Background The City of Tiffin has identified the need for traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Village Drive and Roberts Ferry Road to address traffic control, safety, and ongoing growth in the area. In April 2026, the project plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of costs were filed with the City. Additionally, a Notice of Hearing was published in accordance with state requirements, allowing for public review and input prior to formal approval. Approval of this resolution represents the next step in the public improvement process and allows the City to move forward with bidding and construction. Specifically, this action: • Formally approves the engineering plans and specifications • Approves the project cost estimate • Approves the form of contract for construction • Confirms compliance with required public notice and hearing procedures This project is an important infrastructure investment that will improve intersection control and enhance safety for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists in a high-growth corridor. Recommendation Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 2026-035, approving the plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of costs for the Village Drive and Roberts Ferry Road Traffic Signal Project.
