TOWN OF TIFFIN TIFFIN, IOWA 52340 July 14, 1976 The Tiffin City Council met in regular session on July 14, 1976 at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall. Mayor Brotherton presiding. Open forum discussion followed. Roll was called at 8:10 p.m. Councilmembers present: Morgan, Potter, Formanek, Stratton and Janssen. Also present: Tom Mittman and Ralph Brown. Formanek moved to approve the June 9th regular meeting minutes. Potter seconded and motion carried unanimously. Janssen moved to accept the Clerk-Treasurer's fiscal year financial report. Morgan seconded and motion carried unanimously. Janssen moved to increase Ralph Brown's present gross weekly salary, paid monthly, by 8% beginning August 1, 1976. Potter seconded and motion carried unanimously. Potter moved to install a water meter on the north side of the railroad tracks to serve the Scheetz Mobile Home Park upon approval of legal counsel or the Iowa League of Municipalities. Formanek seconded and motion carried unanimously. Potter moved to approve the Water Fund budget report to the Farmer's Home Administration. Janssen seconded and motion carried unanimously. Potter moved to approve a request for single dwelling addition building permit at 230 Summerhays Street to Alden Janssen, and a request for single dwelling building permit at 120 Railroad Street to Ted and Betty Spivey upon receipt of fee. Morgan seconded and motion carried as follows:. Formanek, aye; Morgan, aye; Janssen, abstain; Potter, aye and Stratton, aye. Formanek moved to approve payment of the following bills and to accept following receipts. Stratton seconded and motion carried unanimously.
